When I signed up for DSL The deal was: $14.95 per month for 1 year, modem for $99 + shipping, with half the modem cost to be given as an instant credit, the remainder as a rebate. I followed the rebate instructions and mailed it a month ago. It still hasn't shown up at their office BUT, I got my new bill from SBC and I got FULL credit for the modem. So my question is, should I push for the rebate also? Should I just drop it knowing I got the full credit? I'm wondering if they might take back the part of the credit and then hose me on the rebate because I failed to follow through. Supposedly, you need to be on DSL for 2 months before you get the rebate. I had already been a SBC customer before signing up for DSL, perhaps this is the reason?

Do nothing. Wait and see what happens. Billing procedures and special deals vary from month to month and you may have gotten a full credit in place of the split deal. If not, they will correct the bill and send the rebate. You should know how this plays out by the next bill. In the meantime enjoy your high speed $14.95/mo connection!
