CD Burning/Playback Questions ??
I'm using Nero Express v5.5 which is the bundled version included with a BenQ burner/player. After I've created a CD with my tracks it will not play in any other CD player I have. Any ides where I might have gone wrong or missed a step?
When ripping a track from a commerical music CD occasionally the tracks are "out of sync" with the track number---the song for X track seems to be "spread out" over two tracks. Another way of saying this is the song starts and ends in places other than the track number. I hope this makes sense?!?
I'd appreciate ANY help in this----thanks in advance!

JW, you may be burning at a fast rate that will not play in some players. Set your burn rate to 8x to be on the safe side. My players will play 32x but a lot of players will not.
You didn't say which operating system you are using. If you use XP, you should get an upgrade for Nero.

I think I've got acceptable burning software and will have to looking into the CD-RW issue---I thought that might affect things.
Next up is good music editing software. I'll be transferring some Lloyd Green LP's to CD and already have the interface but need a good program to help in this part. I've looked into Polderbits and didn't care for it---am now trying the GoldWave edition. Joshua Software has several things I've been checking out, feature-wise. I prefer something other than a download only version--having a disk and printed manual makes me feel better for some reason!
Anyone with practical working knowledgle or recommendations for editing software is welcome to offer their recommendations! It would be very much appreciated.
Thanks all
