BIAB problem

Post by George McLellan »

I have version 12 installed in my laptop which is Windows XP. I have been trying to record my steel along with a song. I'm missing something somewhere along the line. At first I could hear the steel along with the file but it wouldn't record. I shut down for a while and when I rebooted, I hear the Windows jingle but when I bring up BB, it plays the files but no sound.

Any body have any suggestions on what I did wrong??

I'd appreciate any help.

I have the same problem with BIAB version 10 and Windows ME. It will record either the backing track, or the steel, but not both.

Many laptops only have a Mic input, not a line in.

You may hear the mic in the PC's speakers but the Record properties in the Volume Control panel must be set for the correct input for BIAB to record. That is from the BIAB help file for "Record Audio".
