Greetings Image
Since my subscription to Norton is ending soon.
before i renew it, i'm lookin' round to see what's out there.
Do any of you use Bit Defender as an antivirus, firewall, etc ?
if so, could you give me your opinion on it ?
Thanx Image

I'm not using bit defencer, but I have been using C.A. "EZ Armor" for over a year and haven't had any problems. I had Norton Internet Security 2005 and it had several problems and even Norton didn't have a fix for - plus Norton has got so big that it's basically "bloatware".

EZ Armor uses ZoneAlarm Pro for the firewall portion.

I've been using AVG's free edition for my virus scanner, and I like it a lot. That combined with the WinXP firewall and Spybot Search and Distroy has kept my computers running smoothly with no additional costs beyond getting a WinXP license.

http://www.free-av.com http://www.spybot.info/en/index.html http://www.javacoolsoftware.com/downloads.html (spywareblaster)

These three programs have served me very well for several years, and are all free downloads. I have had little to no problems out of my computer. Also, I have Windows XP Service Pack 2 for popup blocking and firewall. Works great.
