iMac Dim Screen

Post by Lawrence Lupkin »

When my IMac "wakes up" or starts up from a shutdown, the screen is extremely dim. If I try really hard, I can make out enough to navigate the mouse to shut it down. Sometimes after restart, it comes back to normal. Sometimes it doesn't. It used to be randomly intermittant, but now seems more of a constant problem.

The computer is at most two years old.

I would certainly be grateful if anyone had any insight.

Thanks in advance!

No Edward, but I certainly will now. As long as I can get it on long enough to do so.

I'll let you know how that works.

Thanks!

My first computer (1988) has a Sceptura monitor. When I turn it on the monitor easily takes 15 minutes before I can see anything on screen. After that it's fine.

Time for a new monitor I know, but I use it so seldom........
