It's called "The Pedal Steeler" and is modery Dr. Steve Stallings. http://www.pedalsteeler.com/ How about some of you guys posting on it once in awhile. It needs some activity.

Both of those Forums are at EZBoard. The SGF runs on a dedicated server that I own, running on a dedicated leased line here in Cloverdale. So there's a big difference in the level of service and reliability.

I like the people running those other Forums. They are members here, and I'm a member there. The problem I see is that they have tied the fate of their forums to EZBoard, which often has large technical problems. I like to think that the SGF is more stable and more permanent than EZBoard.

This topic doesn't really belong in the "Pedal Steel" section, but I'm not sure where to move it to...

Man don't go to this site. Sorry. I went there and pop-ups just exploded. Now I have these icons on my desktop, new serch toolbars I DON'T WANT, and words like "music" and b0b's mention of "pop-up" on this forum are highlighted, so if you click on them, guess what....
Anyone know how to get rid of this crap? This really makes me mad Image

If it is, I suspect it's due to something that was loaded at th EZ Board Sites.
Run Ad Aware and Spy-Bot programs to clean it out.

Ad-Ware and Spybot cleaned out the usual, but these pop-ups are immune to it. I'm getting slammed as we speak.

Those new icons on my desktop are "KillAllPopups, MP3Players4Sale, NoMoreSpyWare, PrivacyProtection". Their properties show a URL of www2. and www3.
I think these are spyware popups, which your blocker won't stop. Or they're trojan horse.

I have been trying to get rid of this crap for eight hours now. Finally starting to get a hold of it. There is a ghost virus with it you can get rid of by going to antivirus.com and using the free scan. then run you ad ware about 15 times

Ron, I respectfully disagree.
If I find something interesting on the Net and I want to share it with others on the Forum or anywhere else, I check FIRST if the site has malicious software.
I am usually very careful, and I make sure I do not set traps for others. This is called "being considerate".

I know Nick did not do this on purpose. If he had done this on purpose, I would not have thanked him. Image
