I know this may sound like a trivial little
why-bother-with-it thing, but it I find it just aggravating.
Let's face it. Staring at the pc screen day in and day out and continually looking at the plethora of Internet Explorer's BIG BLUE "E" icons, can get just a bit boring after a while.
So it's refreshing when you save something from the web that has it's own specialized icon. And, it makes it easier to pick it out on your desktop, or where ever, from that sea of blue "E's".
But what happens every now and then is the pc coughs and hiccups or something and a lot of those specialized icons turn into the BIG BLUE "E".
So, the question is - How can you get the specialized icon back? Is it somewhere embedded at the specific website?
I've tried going to a site and 're-saving', and sometimes it works and sometimes not.
It's happened with the Forum icon, too. BUT -
I have that icon stored in my ICONS file, and can access it thru PROPERTIES/CHANGE ICON.
I guess I'm always looking to make the pc experience "more thrilling than yesteryear,
go faster than a speeding bullet, and leap buildings in a single bound".
Thanks all.

Ther are hundreds of icons stored in the "WINNT" directory. Go to the PROPERTIES/CHANGE ICON then look for any file ending with ".dll", these link libarys have all all kinds of icons embedded there.
A few do not have icons, but most do. You can use these icons as you wish for desktop useage.
There is a file called "moreicons" which has about a hundred or so in it.
