Cassette to C.D.
Hi All,
My knowledge of computers is very limited so If you are able to reply to this question please try to make it idiot proof.
I have many hundreds of tracks on cassette which I would like to put on CD.how do I do it?
what connections do I need and what programmes do I need .
Thanks and Seasons Greetings
Billy

Billy:
If you don't want to get your computer involved in it, get a CD-R standalone recorder that plugs into a stereo system just like a cassette deck. They are typically dual well, so you can record from radio, CD, cassette, or any source, just as you would with an ordinary cassette deck.
You can find them around for under $200 and it avoids a lot of the problems associated with connecting a cassette deck up to a computer--very simple, particularly if you just want straight dubs of a pile of cassettes.

You should also consider a restoration program of some kind to help remove the tape hiss.
