Using TurboCAD to Design Steel Parts

I know this probably goes in the computer section but do any of you use TurboCAD?

I downloaded a free program from www.emachineshop.com to draw some 3d diagrams of the pedal steel parts I'm designing. I exported to the files in .dxf format and loaded them into a demo of TurboCAD Pro that I just downloaded.

I wanted to try to get a realistic rendering of the parts from TurboCAD because the free program makes only basic renderings. I'm clueless in TurboCAD. It's way harder.

So if anyone uses TurboCAD, can I send you the files and see if you can render them for me? Or maybe give me some tips on doing it myself?

I hope to be building at least some lap steels in a few weeks based on the drawings I've been making.

Gary; I have four different CAD programs that I currently use. I am not sure of what you want but if you will e-mail me I will try and work something out.
It is possible that I may be able to help you in one of them.
I curently use
Auto Cad
Surv Cad
Intell Cad
Briscnet.
plus one old CoGo program that comes in handy once in a while.

I use Autocad and have for several years, I never had a need to learn any other CAD program.

Most AutoCad users are victims of their own ambitions ...

I find it to be humbling sometimes.

I was an autocad fan until my boss dragged me kicking & screaming to a program called Solid Edge and I ain't looked back since.

Well. I got it to render a nice 3d drawing of a tunerhead that has paper thin walls. I can figure out how to set the thickness of my walls or drill tuner holes in them. This program (TurboCAD) is way more complicated than the free on I got.
