Free text messaging?

Post by Chris Brooks »

I have gotten 2 of these recently. Is something fishy? Is it spam? Legit? I checked at McAfee and they don't have an alert out on it.

Since I don't do text messaging--and I didn't know the source of one of them--I haven't clicked on the link-in spite of the smiley disclaimer not to "worry because it is quick."

A quick google search on "sms.ac" indicates they are a real company with a service offered, but quite a few complaints show up high in the search listings. I clicked through and didn't see any indications of attempts at spyware installation or anything of that nature.
