A easy to use ,Simple Recording Prgram?

Post by Al Marcus »

I wonder if any one has used a recording that is easy to use.
I have Cakewalk Pyro 1, Music Match Jukebox, and have tried Total Recorder and a couple of others that offer free trials.
Say for example, I play a cassette plugged into the "Line in', OR a mic into the mic input.
Then I want it to ask for the title of song which I put in, Add maybe delay or reverb, then hit RECORD. Which then adds it to a Playlist which I can check mark it to burn a CD with it if I want.
Of the programs I have, it seems that Music Match-Jukebox works the best.
But it is still more oriented to downloading and playing commercial CD's.
Which programs that you have used, that you can reccommend, and how do you record yours with them.?
I know I have heard some great clips form Forum Members and I would like to try that on Program....Thanks for any ideas...al Image Image

Al, I have had the most satisfactory results using Music-Match Jukebox for recording than with any other program that I have tried.

Ditto on Audacity. I usually use Power Tracks Pro, but some things are easier to do in Audacity, plus if you get a lot of noise in your recording Audacity is very good at cleaning it up. Many other things too, like converting formats, etc.

Gene, Bob and Howard- Thanks you all for responding. I do get a lot of noise on my almost 50 year old cassettes, maybe I can use that Audacity to help clear it up.
Gene, I do like Music Match Jukebox, maybe I will learn more about it so I can have better use of it.
Bob, thanks for the link , I'll look it over and give it a try too.
I really appreciate this Froum. I just knew that someone would come up with some good answers. Thanks a lot, guys.....al Image Image

Howard, if you put URL in brackets , we can clik on it. See b0b's page on how to do that. I think it is like this name put thes one in fron and one after your web address, then it should show up in blue on your post.....
