MS Outlook to IE drag problem

Post by Jim Smith »

I used to be able to drag URL's from an Outlook HTML email to an Internet Explorer window. Recently that stopped working and now I can only click the URL, which usually opens a new IE window instead of opening the link in an existing IE window. I can still drag URL's from one IE window to another as before.

This is with Outlook 2000 and IE 6 SP 1, both with all the latest updates. I don't see any options in either one that control this. Is anyone else experiencing this, or have any suggestions to "fix" it?

Jim,

Why can't you click the links in the Outlook HTML email?

Clicking the link should launch your default browser and load the page....right?

Yes, as stated in my original post, I can click the links, and doing so usually opens a new browser window, which is the problem. I used to be able to drag Outlook URL links into an existing browser window. That is the part that doesn't work any more.
