Change to Mozilla / Thunderbird

Post by Jim Hinton »

Last week I finally changed to Mozilla, and was very pleased with the results. I couldn't seem to configure my email outgoing server for some unknown reason.

One of my colleagues suggested using Thunderbird. It rocks!!

Very simple to download and install ... no hiccups whatsoever, and built in spam filter. Life is good.

I am now a converted believer, and have found the courage to try new computer tricks!

I too dove in and tried Mozilla. I have seen the advantages and like it very well.
Question though.... now on the SGF, my little orange envelopes show up back to about the time I installed Mozilla. If I use IE, the "opened" envelopes are functional. Is there a switch or an option to to keep my "read messages" current?.........
Just read the post below and I'll see what i can do with that info.
Thanks!
[This message was edited by Bruce Wutzke on 12 October 2004 at 05:01 PM.]

Actually, I hadn't noticed that ... I'm kind of oblivious in the mornings when I read this stuff, and that "got right past me"!

I have already noticed the spam filter works nicely. It automatically puts stuff in the trash, and you can pick through it to decide if it's okay or not. Now that is living!

I also switched to Mozilla, but I cannot copy and paste in the forum edit window anymore.

Is that normal?
