Saving a Web Page to view later??

Post by Jeff Strouse »

Is there a way to save a web page, with all the text and graphics, as is? With the way websites come and go, when I find something I'm interested in, I'd rather save it somehow to view later, rather than print out a ton of paper...especially those really long and detailed sites with lots of information.

Thanks!

right click/save page as, pick a folder/save. You may want to rename to find it easier,or make a special folder to keep them in. Hope this helps.

In Internet Explorer, just do File-Save As.

In Internet Explorer you can also add the page to your Favorites and check the "Make Available Offline" box.

Thanks everyone!

I've got hundreds of bookmarks all categorized in folders, but I find that some of those web pages are gone over time if the site no longer exists.

I figured the best way to save the information is print the pages, but now I can save the web page to my harddrive to save paper and printer cartridges!

While you're going through the steps to make the page available offline, you can also choose to make the links on the page available too. Of course this takes up more disk space, but may be important to you later on.
