CDR no bueno ! Through a series of brain farts it turned out needed to use a backup copy of a tune for my forthcoming CD. I got the 1,000 CDs back from the plant and realized that the tune I got from CDR backup was unacceptable. The sound had degraded over the last few years by a very noticable amount. I tracked down a hard drive backup of the tune and now need to repress and hand repackage the whole thing.
So all those stories are true about CDRs being unstable. If something is important to you do not archive it on a CDR !
