pc screen blacks out

Post by Ed Altrichter »

Why does my computer screen constantly go black, then quickly back on again ? It's really irritating.
Another thing that's irritating is the box that keeps popping up, saying : "System file error . The following system files have been replaced with older versions by a program you recently ran. These files are currently in use and cannot be automatically repaired. Windows may not be run correctly until you exit and restart windows so that these files can be automatically repaired. "
I keep exiting and restarting, but I don't see where anything is being repaired !
Thaks for any help. Ed

Not really enough info to answer your "Black-out" problem, but I would say you need to download the latest video driver for your PC. Some drivers will black the screen during the driver install/detection process. Your previous driver install may be corrupt, which would possiby answer the file replacement issue also. Hope this helps. John

Go to the manufacturers web site and into support, then downloads for your PC and operating system. If you list the make and model of your PC maybe I can be of more help.
