CoolEdit 2K multi-track synch problem

Post by Herb Steiner »

Here's the situation:

First, I recorded a rhythm track in BIAB, saved it as a .wav, and loaded it into track 1 of a CoolEdit session.

Then I recorded a dobro solo on track 2. I've done this before with not a problem, but now the dobro track is out of time synch with the BIAB track.

Anyone know whassup with that? It's driving me crazy and I've got projects to finish.

Oops! I looked!
What caused it, Herb?
Did you correct it by sliding one track to be in synch with the other?
Just curious,

Russ
I had set my record driver for Soundblaster, but the playback driver was Virtual Sound Canvas by Roland. There was a latency discrepancy. When I changed the CE2K playback driver to Soundblaster, the problem resolved itself.

Hope you're feeling better, and up to coming to ISGC. "Hank in there," Image dude.
