Small fonts on web pages distorted?

Post by Wayne Carver »

I don't know what happened but all the small fonts on just web pages are distorted and barely readable. I use AOL that works with Internet exployer.

In Internet Explorer under Tools click "Internet Options". On the first page of the options there's a Fonts... button. In there you can set the default web page font, the font that's used when no font is specified by the page.

Microsoft has develeloped several fonts that are really good at small sizes. I recommend Verdana or Tahoma. For the default "plain text" font, Andale Mono is a good choice.

If you still have problems, go back and click the "Accessibility" button. Normally everything in this dialog is unchecked, but you can force the use of your preferred font there, even when web pages specify other fonts.

Thanks, Bobby
I chose Tohoma and had to check ignore style & size under Accessability. Now I can read everything on the page.
