New Virus????

New Virus????
Got word from a friend today about a new virus,it is an email virus. If you get an email with the subject "A Card For You" ,even if you know sender be aware.
Don't know if this is real or not,anybody???

Could be. I checked the Symantec website and they had listed two new viruses detected on December 1.
Update your virus protection manually just to be sure.

Symantec Security Responce lists this as being a hoax .
"Virtual Card For You virus."
This is probably the same named hoax your friend told you about that was thought to be real .
Steinar gave you good advise about updating your virus definitions . That should be a must always .

One thing I've noticed with my Norton antivirus is that the 'automatic update' function cannot always be trusted.
When I read this post and checked the Symantec website, I checked and my norton 'claimed' that my virus definitions were up to date, yet I still got two new updates when I ran a manual update.
This is not the first time, so I've learned to run a manual update every few days.
