Can anyone burn a CD of converted MIDI's?

Post by Wayne Carver »

I was reading that you can convert Midi's to .wav file by playing them in something like Winamp and saving them as wave files while playing them. Is this the only way to convert them? Then after converting them make sure thay are sampled at 44.1 KHz and burn them to a cd using something like "Easy CD Creator choosing the "Audio CD" option so that they will play on most cd players. This would be better than converting them to mp3's. I have about 4 floppies of Midi's that I would like to get on a CD. I don't have a cd burner or a fast/large computer and was wondering if anyone could provide this service? I might get me a burner and try it myself after gathering a enough info. Software programs like Powertracks and Goldwave show up alot on the internet. Thanks for any help.

I read that BIAB ver.11 has "Direct to Disk" audio rendering option. Does anyone know how this works?

Wayne, If you have loaded the Roland VSC3 onto your computer that came with the BAIB, you can go to programs, Virtual Sound Canvas 3.2, Help, Features, there will be a listing of what can be done. On that page you can click on "audio file conversion" for a procedure for doing the conversion.

Wayne,

There are several ways to do it. This is roughly the way I do it.

From the Main menu of BIAB 11 select "FILE"

- Then select "Import chords from midi".

- Next go to the group of 20 icons and choose the CD icon (top right).

- The recording control box should appear. Select your record options.

- A message will pop up . Read it and select OK.

- Next you will see various options such as render to audio (wave) or burn to CD.

- Press a button for what you want to do.

It works great!!

I upgraded to BIAB 12.0 yesterday, and the .wav file creation feature is wonderful. Click and you have a .wav. Then burn to CD. How easy is that! I was on 8.0 so didn't realize some of the new features were there.

There's a burn-to-CD button too, will try that one this weekend - very cool.
