cant auto log in?

Help

I had a major crash yesterday on my computer and Im a newbie on this forum and on the computer. I have most of it back now but I find I have to type my name and password on my e-mail and here on the forum, Each time I reset these, and then leave to visit another site when I return I have to sign in and put my password again, before the crash it never did this and now I get a lot of 404 errors but if I refresh the sites come to life, any ideas on what could be happening, Im running Windows 98<FONT SIZE=1 COLOR="#8e236b"><p align=CENTER>[This message was edited by Dale Bessant on 02 October 2003 at 05:20 PM.]</p></FONT>

Dale: Have you tried deleting your cookies? I had somewhat the same problem; I had contracted a virus..and had to have some work done. When I got on the forum the other day, I found that I, also, could automatically log in. There is a place in "Setting Preferences" that will allow you to delete cookies. Then, the next thing you'll need to do is to retype the password and user name. then, to test this out, you might try posting a message in "Feedback And Testing"..then reply to your message. Hope this helps..and thanks again to B0B for showing me this little trick.
