My Norton firewall blocked an inbound TCP connection about 250 times (i lost count). What exactly does this mean?

erik: Check my post about Firewall Violations; same thing still going on at my place. In fact it just happens seven times in a row all with different port numbers. Looks to me like something is going on....

chances are, someone is scanning your computer(s) looking for open ports.

Someone is "Pinging" your computer looking for access to your system most likely to install a remote transmiter for SPAM or something like that.
They have automated programs that search the net looking for vulnerable hosts.
At least it is being blocked.
