cant change instruments in BIAB
I've only went thru quick start to get going so far. Typed in "My Window Faces The South" chords. Selected Texas swing style...nice, easy so far.
Cant change the instruments though. Whatever I select, such as honkytonk piano, it keeps defaulting back to Rhodes electric piano. Same with the other instruments: electric jazz for guitar. Accoustic swing for bass.
I'm able to selest a different instrument While the song is running and can hear the the change, but if I stop and start over it will default back the instruments mentioned????????
I have newly installed BIAB12 and SB Audigy2 Platinum.....thanks
[This message was edited by Steven Welborn on 05 August 2003 at 07:15 PM.]

Steve,
Go to my web site and look in the help section at the bottom for band in a box and click on the link for changing instruments. Everything is explained in full in a how to manner along with all screen shots. http://www.gwixon.com
Hope this helps you out.

I couldn't agree more about George's site.
I've had BIAB since the 7.0 versions, and it's pretty much just sat there.
I can't explaiin it well, but BIAB's books and CD tutorials [and the guys droll, uninspiring,
clinical voice] just put me to sleep.
BIAB's one major problem, I find, is that there
is too much to grasp at any given time.
BIAB lends itself in a better way to those who have some REAL musical training.
I'm getting better at entering notes, but the sound I hear in my head, is not exactly the sound I hear coming from BIAB; even with the known limits that a PC expresses. I know it's me.
But George's instructos, and my personally meeting George at this years MASSBASH, only reinforces my feelings that George has gleaned it all from BIAB, and has put together a better comprehensive format for doing things, than BIAB ever could.
I'm in no way putting down BIAB. It's a great program; but BIAB could have made tutorials
a little more user friendly. These guys that came up with BIAB are obviuosly outstanding musicians and forever jazz-bent. I'm not there by any stretch, yet. Probably never will. So what?
With 4 or 5 of George's walk 'throughs', he cleared up a lot of things for me, just-like-that.
Thanks George.........keep them coming!

Thanks for the kind words and hope this site will take a lot of the guess work out of things.
BIAB along with Power Tracks is a powerful combination for recording and making rhythm tracks. Still trying to finish up some more things with BIAB and get a help section going for Power Tracks as well. This site will constantly grow with help files for both.
Best Regards to all,
George
