MP3 Problem

Post by Roger Shackelton »

I've been receiving MP3 files from a friend, via E-Mail. When I left click the MP3 icon attachment my Real Jukebox appears, but the MP3 file doesn't load. I go back and right click the icon and save the file. Then I access Real Jukebox and click the "Import Wizard" to find new music files, that then load to the jukebox.

I contacted the REAL Website and was told that I may have incorrect or missing sound card drivers. They also suggested I look at the sound card for my Windows 95 sound card configuration. I clicked "My Computer", but the properties was not active. It was only a silhouette.
"How do I activate properties, so I can access the sound card configuration?"

use Winamp
www.winamp.com

I don't believe in RealNetworks. They try to get you to install way too much crap on there. Winamp is free, easy, and roundly recognized as the first and best MP3 decoder software.

I like Michaels advice. Whenever you have a problem with a player, just get another one. RealOne, Winamp, and Windows media player are free and all do pretty much the same thing. AND, they're all works-in-progress (and often don't provide top-notch Win95 support), so if one is giving you trouble, chances are another will work better.

Alternately, you could download a new driver for your soundcard.
