Annoying Gray Pop Up Ads Software Scam

Does anyone know how to stop the annoying gray pop up message that appears in the middle of the screen every few minutes while on AOL. The message seems to promote going to their website, (www.byebyeads.com) to get software to stop the very adds or messages they are placing on your screen. Does anyone else have this problem. I have tried blocking it with AOL, but that doesn’t work. Thanks

Try downloading and running a program called Ad-Aware. It is free and will remove ad related SW on your computer.

That's odd; I'm on AOL and I never have any pop-ups...
