Pop-up Cure

Post by David Mason »

I just found this freeware: www.panicware.com
It seems to cure pop-ups quite well, though it does slow the operation down while it examines the messages. You have to poke CTRL when you click on a link on some sites.

I'll vouch for Panicware's Pop-Up Stopper - Iv'e been using the free version for about a month. Seems to work very well although it's a minor annoyance to have to hold down the ctrl key and click a link again when it stops a page you want. But that's better than the ads.

I haven't noticed any loss of performance.

I have been using EMS Free Surfer MKII for several months and it works fine.
