Desktop Icons

Quite often the icons on the desktop loose their color for a second, and then regains them again (like when booting up). Just like a blink. I'm using Win98.
It doesn't hurt anything, but I was just wondering what is causing this "Blinking"?
Any ideas???

I think it just that start-up. Programs loading and what not... Your desktop probably comes up before some of the other system functions do. I don't believe there is a problem.

I get that as well. I believe it's just an automatic refresh of the desktop screen.
