Modem dialing

My HD crashed recently and I had to reformat and load programs back in. For some reason the cd rom would not read my modem software so MS loaded drivers from it's data base. Every time I connect the modem dials pulse. I can't find any seeting to change it to touch tone. Any ideas? Could it be related to the drivers?

Eric-- Control Panel/Modems will open a window wherein is a 'Dialing Properties' button. Clicking that button opens a window which, among other things, allows you to select 'pulse'. --Everett
