Lost part of colors in printer

Post by Bill Myrick »

hp deskjet 920c less than a year old--this a.m. my green came out off colored light blue so I changes the color cartridge and it printer the green address fine. This afternoon I noticed my reds were coming out a shade of brown. I tried changing the black cartridge - no effect. Is this a sign my printer has decided life is not worth living or what ? XP-Home Edition Program. Thanks, Bill Myrick

You may want to change both the color and black cartiges...... based on what you described,it looks like both cartriges ran out with-in a few days of each other. I really don't think there is anything wrong with your printer tho. Color changes and such is most times cartrige related.

I am fully aware that the cartriges can approach the price of the printer it-self but the printer industry uses the "Gillette" approach to this. "Give you the printer but beat you to death on the cartriges."

Bill,
You might try the clean nozzles/printhead in printer propertys before you change tanks, especialy if it sits unused for awhile.
