BIAB with laptop

Post by Tony Palmer »

Do any of you use Band in a Box this way? I would think so, since you'd have the portability benefit.
The question is, do you use the sound card that's built in the laptop or do you use an external one?
Or should I use a midi-synthesizer module like a Roland or Kurzweil?

I think a lot of the guys are just going with the Roland VSC3 Midi Synthesizer that comes with BIAB. Herb Steiner just released some backup tracks that were all done with BIAB and the Roland Midi Synthesizer.

Thats what I use as Erv explained. Sounds pretty good. Run it right into the sound system (PA) Also run ProTracs for medi files.
