A tube in your PC?

Post by Lou[NE] »

Given the ongoing debate about tube vs. solid-state amps (plus being a die-hard tube guy), I found the link below interesting. This motherboard, which uses a vacuum tube for audio, got a four-stars-out-of-five rating in the Dec. 2002 issue of PC World magazine. "And with music CDs, the tube offered a warm, full-bodied sound comparable to a good home audio setup."

I'm not connected with either Aopen or PC World; I just thought other computer-oriented musicians might find this interesting.
