Bass line on BIAB
Does anyone know how to change the bass line on say a shuffle (walking bass) in BIAB? I've done some editing on drums and have come up with a good Ray Price type shuffle but the bass seems to be missing a note or something. Any help would be appreciated.

Henry,
Unless you create your own style, Band in a Box will not allow you to change the style you've chosen to edit. Band in a Box recomposes the style when you press the play. If you look at page 132 of the book at the technical note you will see this. This can be done but not in a style or melody that comes standard. Believe me, I've tried and the only way around this is to create your own style.
Good luck,
George

If you have a bass you like in another style, you can edit current style and add the Bass or any other style to the one that you are now playing. Just save it with another name. I have taken pianp and drums from one style and added these other style parts many time. The instructions for this is included in the help file.

For "keeper" tracks, I usually export my files to MIDI format and then edit the bass line in PowerTracks Pro. You can edit the style in BIAB, but it's a lot of work and it's hard to understand.
