Manuel Volume control

Post by Joe Blount »

The volume on my Key Pad(Board)has stopped working, But the hardware in the computer
still works and I can operate the volume thru it. But not thru the key board. Does anyone know what the problem might be?

Could be more than one thing, Joe. One thing it could be is that the contacts on the keyboard volume control have a problem. Another is that the keyboard driver may have become corrupted.

Knowing more about your particular computer would be helpful in figuring out a fix. Also, things like did it just happen all at once...anything been spilled on the keyboard, etc...?

Take care,
Lem

Lem, The key board is a Hewlett Packard and it did just quit working all of a sudden, and I don't know,. but I don't think anything was spilled on it.

Joe,

I have a HP keyboard and I have the same exact thing happen to me all the time. The stupid driver and software for the keyboard gets corrupted very easy. My recommendation, is to look on the HP website for a new download for the keyboard.
