Printing Help
I'm trying to print some very large letters.
About 6 or so inches tall, large enough to print on regular printer paper. I need single letters beginning with A etc. I have a 4 month old grandson and I want to try something I did with a son of mine in 1956. I had access to graphics then and I made large letters and placed them in his crib.
He was able to read at 3 1/2 years of age and got a scholarship to MIT before he was out of high school. He is now a computer designer for Boeing and was on the 747 project. I'd like to try it again with this boy but I want to try and use my computer to do the printing. I have Word Pro and Paint. Any suggestions as to how I might go about this would be appreciated.
Thank You, Paul

Here ya go Paul,
From PAINT
Click on the TEXT BUTTON (looks like an A)
Hold your mouse button down to draw a block.
Type a letter in that block.
If the TEXT TOOLBAR did not pop up, select it under VIEW.
Select a font, such as Arial and the largest size, probably 72.
Click anywhere in the window.
You've now finished the first part.
The next part consists enlarging it.
Click the SELECT BUTTON, that's the dotted rectangle at the top right of the tool buttons.
Hold your mouse button down, to draw a rectangle around the letter.
Release the Mouse Button.
Carefully position the mouse pointer to the lower left of the dotted rectangle.
It's pointer should become a two-headed arrow, pointing to the top-left and bottom-right.
When you have that, hold down your mouse button and drag and drop to resize.
Easier to do than explain.

Ain't that the bloody awful truth, Earnest ?
I save all my dead or dried up cartridges and put 'em in the bag with me severed head. As good a place for planned obsolescence if ever I saw one.....Do you think a rocket scientist or an Enron official designed that mess ??
Regards, Paul

Joey: Perhaps a final note: I had Caleb's Mom come look at the little crawler you added to your last post. She thought it was really neat and brought the little guy in to look at it too. He likes cartoons and while I can't be sure, we put him up near the screen and he did take a long time just looking at it. We all thank you and I was wondering where you found that creation ??
