I've just been experimenting with Goldwave and the program works very well to record a high quality solo steel track. Is there any software out there that will record multi-tracks to your PC then allow you to mix down to a master - just like a Tascam Portastudio?

There is the "Internet Tape Deck" which is a multitrack recorder. The screen looks like a recorder with the eq, etc.
I don't know if it's still available but try www.recordlab.com
They were off the net for a while but the last time I checked they were back up.
