MP3 files

Post by gary darr »

Can anyone help? what I am wanting to do is to make my mp3 files accessable to others or to be able to send them to others. I have got to the point where I have recorded wave files from tascam four track, then compressed the wave file to mp3 and this is the point where I get stuck. Can any one explain this lay-terms or is it very complex? Image

If you have your files converted to mp3, you have several options. (1) you can e-mail the file(s) to whoever you want as an attachment to the e-mail, but that is slow considering the size of most mp3 files.
(2) if you have a web site (and enough space) you can upload them to your web site and then people can download them from your web site. (3) You could go the napster route where people can access the files on your PC and upload them. Another option will be the Forum's web server service, but it's not in operation yet.

The best alternative is #2 if you have a web site.

That is what I've done on my site for samples from my CD. Go to my web site and then click on the picture of the CD front cover and it will take you to the page with the sample MP3's.
