Any source for 'Acid' style pedal steel clips?

Amplifiers, effects, pickups, electronic components, wiring, etc.

Any source for 'Acid' style pedal steel clips?

Post by Gordy Hall »

I think this is an 'electronic' post..

I often use 'Acid' to make practice songs, etc.

Has anyone found a good source for pedal steel samples that work in Acid?

TIA.

These are regularly advertised on eBay, I've no idea what the quality is like apart from the mp3 sample on the right, or how many steel clips you get. You might want to contact the seller.

I've got a set of Apple Loops from a company called PowerFX that includes some very good pedal steel loops (about 20) as well as dobro, mandolin, banjo etc. The set is called 'Old+Alt Country'. You might be able to convert them to Acid somehow, or the company might do them in a different format. I could post a track if you want to hear some examples. Hope that helps.

I've heard some PSG loops, I think in Garage Band or Reason, but I'm not sure. I'd love to know who it was that created (played) them. Anyone want to fess up here?

Mike Headrick has been recording excellent PSG tracks for Sonoton Music Library CD's.
Maybe he has also recorded loops?
