Post by Lee Bartram »

i've seen a few post on these speakers being used but i'm not sure in what ,can you use one in a nashville 400 to lighten it up? or are they not suited for a steel amp?

Evans used a DeltaLite in the SE-200 model that I had. However, that model (I think discontinued) was only available in an 8 ohm model.

The Nashville 400 requires a 4 ohm speaker for full power (an 8 ohm would decrease the maximum power down to approx 128 watts).

I tried mounting one in my Nashville 400, for tests and the Peavey mounting screws were too short for the Eminence mounting frame. However, with the Eminence mounted in an external speaker enclosure (the same size as the Evans or Nashville 400) it sounded good with the Nashville 400 amp. (I've since sold both the Evans and the Nashville 400 and I'm using a Nashville 112).

Al, the model used in the Evans amps (since discontinued by Eminence) is approx 7 lbs. I think the 15" BW is approx 22 lbs.

Eminence is now making the Deltalite II instead.
Also available is the Kappalite which will handle more wattage (450 RMS). They're both
around 7 lbs. or so.
