Anybody build a Midi Expression Pedal yet?
One that would work on a Podxt and be able to me moved around in the effects chain?
Probably wouldn't be that hard.
Just wondering.

Eric,
I have a "Pocket Pedal" midi device that I have used in the past to control effect parameters such as delay time, leslie speed etc. You just use a midi cable to connect it to the effect device and a remote switch and/or pot clipped on the guitar's leg, to provide input to adjust the effect parameters while you're playing. This may be what you're looking for.

I thought the Line6 folks had a pedalboard for their modeling amps that has an expression pedal on it- wouldn't it interface with the POD xt? just a question
I've tried the Pocket Pedal control interface; I was trying to MIDI control volume of a synth from a volume pedal; it works in theory but - the 0-127 increments of midi controller were unsatisfactory for volume control both because of a "zipper" effect in the volume change and because the taper is linear not logarithmic.
controlling other MIDI parameters by the pedal were better- pan for instace, but overall it was not applicable to my situation. YMMV.
I ended up running the audio output of the synth thru the potentiometer pedal....

I also have an Anatec Pocket Pedal that I use to create a sustain pedal for my older midi guitar. I'll try setting it like you're talking about Eric. The problem is, they no longer make those little gems, and they're hard to find. I've had mine so long that most of the DIP switches have broken off , so I have to set the switches using a toothpick.

Well I haven't gotten a chance to try the Pedalboard pedal to see if it would replace a regular VP actionwise.
Whatever it is whould have to be a stand alone pedal with no board attached, and yes, it would have to be a pedal. The former excludes any of the pod pedals or pedalboards. If the pedal was on the left of the board it would work.
I suppose a Podxt Live would fit under a 3 pedal E9, but alas I don't have one.
Presumably a cannibalized PodxtLive would yild the guts a guy would need to build one.
We'll see I guess.

Eric, I use a roland EV-5 for over 15 yrs on every effect I have used as a volume pedal as well as effects controller like bringing the reverb level up and delay and that sort of stuff. It has worked flawslessly over the years and I now use it plugged into my Boss GT-8 as a 2nd volume and midi controller because the GT-8 has one built in so now I can assign one as a full time volume and the other as an effect controller.

Hmm surprised I hadn't come across that one earlier.
If it'd work consistently, it'd be just the ticket for PSG using the Podxt the way it is supposed to with a VP that could be put after the compressor and the overdrives they way they are supposed to be. The location of the VP in the chain that is available in the Pod firmware is useless with a standard VP.
Thanks.
If I can ever quit buying teles I might get one.
