Nashville 1000 Reverb Unit
Hey all,
Just unpacked my new Nashville 1000 and LOVE it. Awsome tone, clear, powerful... All the qualities I've seen posted here that encouraged me to take the plunge and go with a Peavey. And compared to my Fender Cyber-Twin head and stack (4x12), the Nashville 1000 is much easier to lug around. Huge improvement for the PSG!!
But, I have one question (for now anyway)... The reverb unit came slid into a black vinyl bag and was not screwed down to the cabinet floor. Is that normal? If it is, do any of you screw the unit to the floor of the cabinet? Just curious what others do with this and use to a spring reverb unit being secured to a wall/floor of the amp cabinet.

Hi Todd; the reverb bag should be fastened to the floor of the cabinet, there might be (2) holes in each end of the reverb bag. if not get (2) snall wood screws about 1/2 inch long and attach the bag to the floor. or you can use a piece of vinly over the width of the reverb bag not the length and fasten it that way. I live in zephyrhills. fl. if you want call me. Bob

The correct assembly for installing a "mechanical" spring reverb is to NOT secure it the bottom of a vibrating Nashville 1000 cabinet bottom. It is supposed to fit loosely inside the vinyl bag which is loosely secured to the cabinet bottom.
So, from your description the assembly is correct.

Mike,
Thanks for the clarification. The bag was not secured, but I did find two (2) black wood screws in the floor of the cabinet (screwed partially in) that look like are probably there to secure the bag.

One last note here... After work today, I got back there and took a closer look at the reverb bag. It had indeed been fastened to the floor. The holes from the screws were hard to see (everything being black). It must have ripped thru during shipping. Which, if that is the case, is a good testiment to the durability and quality of the Nashville 1000. It must have taken a pretty good jolt for the screw heads to rip thru the bag, yet when I plugged it in everything worked perfect, loose reverb unit and all!!
Thanks Mike for making such a great product!
