Does Bobbe know something that we don't?

Amplifiers, effects, pickups, electronic components, wiring, etc.

Does Bobbe know something that we don't?

Post by Ken Byng »

Lately Bobbe has been pushing out his stock of Nashville 1000's and 112's at rock bottom prices. Could this be that a new product from Peavey is on the horizon? Come on Bobbe - let us into your insider knowledge. Image

When those amps first hit the market, Bobbe was selling at rock bottom prices. A local dealer told me Bobbe was insane ...... no further comment Image Image

Bobbe knows a lot more things than I do..

tons more....

but I would also say that most of it is probably stuff I don't wanna know anyway !

I'm trying to forget stuff now on purpose to make room for new things to learn and remember.. Image
[This message was edited by Tony Prior on 29 May 2006 at 06:47 AM.]

When I dropped in on Bobbe last week he seemed quite rational - I think it was one of his 'good days'. Anyway, Smiley was there too, so it was hard to tell....

I've heard that in this business it's not about what you know, but about what people think you know... Image

Ken,

I think so. Read Bobbe's post from a couple of weeks ago entitled "Peavey "Custom Colored' Amps". Mike Brown makes a comment on that thread stating that there are changes to come (perhaps in the 112 one could assume) based on a recent survey he did on this forum. At least that's my read.

Randy, is that why most people put only 30-second sound clips on their website?
That's what I did. I cut and saved the 30 seconds that had no mistakes ....hahaha Image

John, you still have me beat. I haven't put any sound clips on mine yet. Image

Bobbe has always had a great price on Peavey amps. I've sent several folks to him. So far I think everyone of them bought their Peaveys from him.
[This message was edited by Randy Beavers on 29 May 2006 at 06:52 PM.]

I'm pretty sure Bobbe MUST BE crazy.....was in the store the other day and watched him take time out from potential sales to give a beginner a quick bar-slant demo that blew me....er, um, "that kid" away. Bobbe's a wealth of knowledge. Reminds me how lucky we are to have guys like him and Duane so close to the house and so willing to share knowledge they have acquired over the years with the rest of us.

I don't have a doubt Bobbe knows more than
most of us. As many wifes as he's had and all
the toys he's got he's had more OJT. than all
the rest of us put together. LoL.
But he still has time to help us out, and has
the best prices Ive found on Equipment.
Thanks For being there Bobbe

Bobbe is smart like a fox!!!! I worked in a Furniture store with five other salesmen and one of the salesmen was top man every month. So i got to watching him and found out his secret. He would stop anything he was doing and wait on two old ladies just to show them a ten dollar lamp shade. We thought he was wasting his time but when the old ladies came back a month later, they asked for him and he sold them a two thousand dollar bed room suite. Thats how Bobbe is. Time means nothing to him. He knows that kindness and friendliness will get the sale every time. And I agree with him wholehartedly.

He also genuinely loves the instrument, and that enthusiasm shows in everything he does. He's the reason I resist going to pedals! A real role model, for a steel guitarist of any stripe. I treasure my opportunities to see him. We always leave smiling, and you can't say that about many places anymore.

Well, in Bobbe's newsletter sent out today, he has intimated what I have suggested in this thread. He closes his piece with...
P.S. Watch the website for new products and big surprises from Peavey. This includes some exciting new products for bass and guitar players as well as steel players.

Yeah I saw that in the newsletter too. Can't wait to see what Peavey's doing.
