Fender Steel King Amp
Has anyone out there added a regular speaker
jack to the rear of the chassis of a FSK amp? It would sure make it easier to hook of different types/sizes of speakers to the amp.It comes from the factory wired direct to the speaker.Anyone changed this?
Thanks Ron

Hi Larry;
IMHO IF you like the Fender tube amp sound ( & I do ) & want a modern amp - this IS it!!.I really love the sounds of this amp-easy to dial in what you want + it sounds GREAT for steel & Tele both.I do intend to split the chassis out of the cab but i really want to have the speaker jack wired like the older Fender amps where you can plug in whatever speaker you want - not saying there is anything wrong with the speaker in there - it sounds very close to the older JBL speakers to my ears. Thats an easy fix, attach the existing
speaker leads to a 1/4" jack and mount to the rear panel. Then make a speaker cord with 1/4 male x terminals
and plug the speaker into the jack.
Only problem is unpluging the speaker
when you put the cover on it.
