I just recently got a stereo Evans preamp model ESPA. I can't seem to get the effects patch to work. There are 2 fxA and fxB. Neither of them wioll recognize my Alesis comprtessor nor my digitech Quad. I have tried all combinations of wiring going in and out the loop. I thought the circuit must be bad. But i talked to 2 people who have the same preamp and they say they have had the same problem. So I am using the effects between the guitar and the input to the Evans. It sounds fine but i am curious how the effects loop works. Do you have to combine both fxA and fxB or ???????
HELP!

Ron,
I have used one for about 2+ years and I have the same problem. I use a tubefex into it and get a super sound but I don't do a normal connnect using the sends and returns. I go vol ped to front of Evans...on back I go Tfex outputs to the returns on Evans.. one send on Evans to the rear input of Tfex. A & B outs on Evans to power amp. This is the only way I have found to get it to work.
