Boss Blues Driver great for steel
I tried a few different things and this is great. Other people says the same. If anything else was a lots better i dont know what it would be.

I use a Tubeworks tubedriver, I think it sounds much better than the Boss pedal. It also has a built in power supply, no wall-wart.

Gary:the Boss bues Driver is my favorite distortion unit,I have used it on my Strat forever and prefer it over other units that I have owned like the Ibanez tube screamers and a few others.I just started using it on my steel and feel the same way about it.The Blues driver seems to grow harmoncaly with the volume of the instrument,The tube screamer seems to have the same sound at different sound levels.
