will a rack like this accomadate

A Lexicon MPX 110, a CD player, and a Behringer mixer board? I've never used a
rack case before, so I don't know much about them, or nuttin else for that matter.

What about the 12 space rack stand? would that work for the above units? or would it be better to get a rack case? Here's the 12 space stand

Terry, the rack box pictured will probably only hold the lexicon and and a eq or tuner. I think each space is 1.75 inches. The average tape/cd deck will take up 3 or 4 spaces. A profex and a tuner will fill up a 2 space rack. If you plan on going with a 12 channel board, I would go with a unit that has a mixer platform on the top that will elevate and 10 or 12 spaces on the bottom. I am putting one together now for our family life center. I put a Yamaha 16 ch mixer on top and I mounted a Crown amp, a dual 15 eq and 2 wireless receiver and I still have room for a tascam cd-cassette player. I will take a picture tonight or tomorrow and e-mail it to you.

Thanks James. What I'm goin to do is play my CD tracks into one amp, and my steel through another. I don't think I will need a Mixer after all. My Lexicon 110 is 1 3/4 X 17" long and my CD player is 1 3/4 X 17" long. Do you think that Rack case would work for the FX and the CD player alone?
BTW- Can you carry the CD player and FX unit in the SKB case? I've never owned one of these things, as you can see.

Can anybody tell me if the SKB rack case in the above link will hold a Lexicon 110 and a CD player, both are the same size. 1 3/4" X 17" long. I don't want to go and buy one and not have room for my stuff.

Terry, if the case is a two space rack, it will hold the lexican and your cd player. I assume both units have the rack ears on them to mount to the rack mount.

Actually James, the Lexicon 110 has the ears, but the CD player don't have.
When I said 17" long that's not counting the ears, it's about 19" outside the ears.
How would I bolt the CD player in the rack? Is there a way to do it if it don't have ears?
Also, Would I buy a rack that holds 17" of rackable gear? I've seen some on Ebay that said the rack was for 19" of rackable gear. Just want to make sure. Thanks for your help.

Why not get some plywood and make your own rack?

That way, you could ensure everything fitted.

It would also be a good idea to space the units apart more than a regular rack allows, to prevent possible humming and overheating problems.

Terry, find a shelf for the rack mount. They mount in the rack and have lots of holes punched in the shelf. You can remove the rubber legs from the cd player and then use the screws to go thru the shelf and hold the player to the shelf. I did the same thing to mount a cd recorder and a tape player recorder in a rack box for my sound system. Let me know if I can be of further assistance
