One way is to use it in the "Pre EQ Patch" on a Nashville 400. Just unplug the "IN" of the "PRE EQ Patch" and the Profex is out of the loop. This will work on most any amp with an effects loops.
For best signal to noise ratio set up as follows:
-Set amp to desired volume with guitar/steel (this is the final volume you want after the Profex is in the "Pre EQ Patch")
-Turn the output knob to off on the Profex for now.
-Take the "OUT" of the "Pre EQ Patch" on the NV-400 and insert into the front of the Profex with a shielded instrument cable.
-Take "Left output" of the Profex 2 and plug into the "IN" of the "PRE EQ Patch"
-Play and adjust the input knob of the Profex for a bit of green LED indication on stronger notes/chords. At this point no volume is heard from the amp.
-Adjust the output knob of the Profex to attain the level of volume you had in the first step. To compare, just unplug the return cable to the amp (at the "Pre EQ Patch-"IN") that will bypass the Profex and give the original volume level.
I did this same setup tonight with a Tubefex and a NV-400. Sounds great! Same procedure, but the volume adjustments on the Tubefex must be made with the Global menu with a patch that does not have a tube in it(such as a Newman preset)!
One way to bypass the Profex 2 or Bassfex!
