Franklin Volume Pedal

Post by Boo Bernstein »

Lately, I have been playing a lot through a Nashville 112, which I really love. I just acquired a second one for when I play larger venues. I was thinking about getting a Franklin stereo volume pedal to output to the two amps (so I can set the pre-amps slightly differently.) Does anyone know if these volume pedals attach to the pedal board of an Emmons just like the Emmons pedals do? Thanks, Boo

Wouldn't any pedal with two output jacks let you do that?

Roger -- Yes, absolutely, but I must admit, after all these years, I am used to the way the Emmons pedal feels ... and was wondering if the Franklin pedal attaches to the bar the same way. Thanks, Boo

Stereo pedals aren't necessary to run two amps! Simply run a jumper cord from one amp to the other. Then, you can still set them any way you want, and the effect will be the same as having a stereo volume pedal. Image

Boo,
I have a Franklin pedal I'm getting ready to sell but it might not be the right thing for you. The Franklin pedal has 2 separate inputs and outputs with a pot for each one.
If you are running some sort of stereo FX before the inputs you could use it for what you are talking about.

Franklin pedals are set the same as Emmons pedals.

Might take a look at Keith Hilton's web site. It's a great pedal (stero outs as well), and I think the emmons attachment is also available. Great tone!

Could you just add another out jack if there was room, and you had the expertiece to do it or use a splitter like the ones used for using two sets of headphones on a player?

You can use a MONO ¼” (Y)-adaptor from Radio Shack plugged into a (1)-output pedal and then run (1)-cord to each amp. That would probably cost less than $3 + an extra guitar~cord!
