There was discussion by Reece about 20 years ago about the future of PSG. He mentioned this type of system making all our changes electro-mechanicaly.

While the ability to tune it instantly is a cool feature--you still have to tune it to set up your tweaked setup. The couple of guys I know that use this primarily use it to change open tunings (Sonny Landreth has one).

The ability to touch a button and have your guitar retune instantly, especially on a hot or cold stage, without looking at anything is very cool Image...
