Peavey LTD AMPS
I just bought a great sounding LTD amp with a D-130 speaker and now know why they are such a sought after steel amp! They are smaller and lighter than the Nashville 400's and my old Vegas 400 and this LTD flat kicks out the tone! I know the 112's are the rage for now but a pair of these LTD's are just incredible sounding with an RV-3. Thanks to Peavey for building some great old amps and having a super person like Mike Brown to help us out...
[This message was edited by Bill Simmons on 06 December 2005 at 05:21 PM.]

I have an old LTD 400 that I bought when I first moved to Texas in April of 1980. It has the old spider web Black Widow and still looks and sounds as good as it did when I carried it home.

Bill, great amp, great find !
I would not agree that the N112's are the latest rage..
They are clearly the MOST talked about but they are not intended to be compared with the big brothers or OLDER brothers.
They are very nice amps in a small package...
But I'm with you..my amps...
N400
Session 400
Session 400 Limited
and I would buy an LTD in a heartbeat...
Give me the "big block" and the big speaker....

Darvin...you have such a great collection of amps...looks like you are a music store owner HA!
Tony, you are right...for the size, weight, power and sound, these old LTD's are so great. Do you guys know the weight difference between the old LTD (small cabinets)amps and the new 112's? I've not really taken the time to play through the new 112's but I hear good things about them -- but again, it's hard to imagine them sounding any better than the small LTD's.
A friend just sold me his LTD with the D-130 speaker for $250 and it has casters and in very good condition! I believe it was gone through by Peavey in 'o4 even. Looking for a second one I'm so impressed! Thanks for any info on these great amps.

The LTD 400 weighed 46 pounds and the Nashville 112 weighs 42.5 lbs. As a matter of fact, those of you who own the LTD 400 amplifier and wish to purchase vinyl cover for it, we have a limited supply in stock. After we have depleted this stock, we will not offer them any longer. The item number is 00453260 and the U.S. MSRP is $12.49.

Bill, you didn't tell me you got that LTD. If you want another amp, I've got that Session 500 I could lay on you. It's the lightweight model.
Glad to hear you like the LTD. We'll have to get together and let you try the Nash. 112. I think you'll be impressed.
I was starting to wonder if you decided to come back from Atlanta. Give me a call sometime.
