A black box question
I'm playing a MSA Super Slide through a line 6 POD XT and a session 500. I was thinking of getting rid of the POD and going with either a RV3 for some delay and a little reverb, or going with a black box. Will the black box do anything so far as adding delay and reverb?
Also how will it work with a lap steel? Thanks
Rick

Rick, I'll post my emailed response here:
Hi Rick. The Black Box is NOT an effects unit, it's a tone enhancer. It is simply a very cleanly run tube with two stages. It smoothes out and warms up the tone by using a tube. You would still want some sort of effects unit to give the reverb and/or delay. The main intention is to give a transistor amp like your Session 500 a warmer, sweeter, more tubey sound. As far as effects go, your PodXT and the RV-3 are really good sounding units. The RV-3 is pretty simple and compact, but the PodXT has much more versatility and control. Both have great reverb and delay. I hope I helped answer your question.
Take Care,
Brad

Rick,
I have a PV112 and black box for my pedal rig. But I've also used it with my lap steels and it sounds great!
